Veljko Kovac is Head of Forward Deployed Engineering at cognee, the open-source memory platform for AI agents. He leads the technical rollout of agent memory for cognee’s enterprise clients, working with their engineering teams to take memory layers from prototype into production.
Before cognee, he founded a venture-backed startup building a governance layer for AI agents and raised capital in London and San Francisco.
He started out in research, working on graph neural networks with Prof. Pietro Liò at the University of Cambridge and Dr. Petar Veličković at Google DeepMind, lead author of Graph Attention Networks.
// 02 / The session
Build a company brain for your coding agents
Abstract
Every new session, your coding agent starts from zero. It doesn’t know why your team picked one database over another, which services break easily, or the review comments you keep leaving. A company brain gives agents that context: a shared memory layer that captures how your team works and hands it to every agent that needs it.
Veljko will show what goes into a company brain, how the pieces fit together, and how to build one with the coding agents you already use.
Best for developers who already use coding agents and understand how agentic workflows run.
