Ticket Privacy Policy

AI Dev — Privacy Policy

This policy is between you and New Electricity Company (“we,” “us,” “AI Dev”). Last updated: September 2, 2026.

This policy explains what information we collect when you register for or attend an AI Dev event, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, the registration process, and the event itself.

1. What we collect

Registration. When you register, we collect your name, email address, company, title, country of residence, and your answers to any registration questions. If someone transfers a ticket to you, we collect the same information when you claim it.

Payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number; we may keep the last four digits and the transaction record.

At the event. We may record check-ins, badge scans, and session attendance. Sessions may be photographed, filmed, recorded, and transcribed, as described in Section 5 of the Ticket Terms of Service and in Section 4 below.

Correspondence. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence.

Website. Our website collects standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) and uses cookies for functionality and analytics.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to run the event: processing your registration and payment, sending you event communications, producing your badge, managing entry and security, responding to your questions, and analyzing attendance so we can plan future events. We may also use it to promote AI Dev, including through the photography, recordings, and transcripts described below, and to comply with our legal obligations.

3. Who we share your information with

Sponsors and partners. Unless you are a resident of the EU or UK, we may share your name, company, title, and contact details with AI Dev sponsors and partners, who may contact you about their products. You can opt out of future sharing at any time by emailing aidev@deeplearning.ai; opt-outs apply going forward and do not affect information already provided to a sponsor. If you are a resident of the EU or UK, sponsors receive your details only when you have your badge scanned at their booth; you can request to withdraw that consent with the sponsor.

Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us run the event, such as registration and ticketing, payment processing, badge printing, audiovisual production, transcription, email, and analytics. They may use it only to provide services to us.

Legal. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect the safety of attendees and staff.

4. Photography, recordings, and the live transcript

AI Dev is documented and promoted through photography, video, and audio recorded at the event. If you attend, you may appear in this material, and we may use it worldwide without compensation to you, as described in the Ticket Terms of Service. If you prefer to stay off camera where possible, tell a staff member and we will do our best (but cannot guarantee) to accommodate you.

Sessions may be transcribed in real time, and transcripts may be made available to software including third-party AI agents. If you speak at a microphone in a session room, your words become part of the session transcript.

5. Your choices and rights

Sponsor sharing opt-out. Email aidev@deeplearning.ai at any time and we will exclude you from future sharing with sponsors and partners. Opt-outs apply going forward; we cannot recall information already provided.

Marketing emails. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not affect operational emails about your ticket or the event.

California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy of it, to request correction or deletion, and to opt out of the sharing described in Section 3, which may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under California law. To exercise any of these rights, email aidev@deeplearning.ai. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where our website receives them. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Other US states. If your state provides similar privacy rights, you can exercise them the same way: email aidev@deeplearning.ai.

6. EU and UK residents

If you are located in the EU or UK, the GDPR applies to our handling of your information. Our lawful bases are: performance of our contract with you (registration, ticketing, entry); our legitimate interests in running, securing, documenting, and promoting the event; your consent, where we ask for it — including sponsor sharing via badge scan, which you may withdraw at any time, with effect going forward; and compliance with legal obligations.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and receive a copy of your information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting your ticket. To exercise these rights, email aidev@deeplearning.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

We are a US company and your information is processed in the United States. You provide it to us directly when you register and at the event.

7. Retention

We keep registration and transaction records for as long as we need them to run the event, handle any follow-up, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. Event photography, recordings, and transcripts are part of the historical record of AI Dev and may be retained and used indefinitely, as described above. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do our best to do so, unless the law requires us to keep it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, and we require the same of our service providers. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Age

AI Dev is a professional event and our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; if a change is significant, we will email registrants. The current version always lives at www.ai-dev.deeeplearning.ai/privacy-policy
